The LGBTQ+ Social Networks, Aging, and Policy Study (Q SNAPS) is a community-based sample of midlife and older LGBTQ+ adults in the US South ages 50 and older (N=1,256). The study is longitudinal and currently includes 3 waves of data collection beginning in 2020.
The purpose of the study is to understand the health, aging experiences, and relationships of midlife and older LGBTQ+ people. We are interested in identifying factors that exacerbate poor health and those that help LGBTQ+ people thrive in later life.
